Sunday Market: Bac Ha, Vietnam

Travel Photography

Bac Ha is a small town located in the northern hills of Vietnam and it has one of the best ethnic markets in the country. The Flower Hmong and Giay people from rural villages rush to the market every Sunday to buy, sell and trade goods and to of course, socialize.  Here I explored the food and textile areas, which as you can see, were quite fragrant as it was colorful. It was amazing people watching all around and after 2 cups of fresh sugar cane juice, some phenomenal Pho for lunch and about 100 lychees and mangosteens, I had a major sugar crash and was looking forward to a nap.
